KUALA LUMPUR, Sept. 28 -- Ex-human resources minister Datuk Seri M. Saravanan and members of his family are at the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) headquarters in Putrajaya for statutory asset declaration notices to be served on them.

Saravanan arrived at the main entrance at 9.15am accompanied by his wife and two children in a convoy of two multi-purpose vehicles, NST reported.

The Tapah MP is currently facing three counts of graft involving RM1.097 million in alleged kickbacks four years ago, linked to the approval of a 1,000-person foreign worker recruitment quota for TYKB Engineering Sdn Bhd.

Saravanan, who is also MIC deputy president, claimed trial to all three charges at the Kuala Lumpur Sessions Court on Aug 28.
