RMAF fighter jet makes emergency landing after engine issue at KKIA
PETALING JAYA, May 20 -- A Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) F/A-18D Hornet fighter jet made an emergency landing at Kota Kinabalu International Airport (KKIA) last night after reportedly experiencing a technical issue, according to Berita Harian.
The aircraft is believed to have developed a problem involving its left engine before landing safely at 7.47pm.
The jet was reported to be in good condition following the landing, and engineers inspected the aircraft shortly after it touched down.
It is understood that the fighter jet remains parked at KKIA's Terminal 2.
