KUALA LUMPUR, April 2 -- A 24-year-old motorcyclist had his leg severed in a horrific crash after a car allegedly ran a red light along Jalan Sultan Ismail here early this morning. A second rider was also seriously injured.
Kuala Lumpur Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department chief ACP Zamzuri Isa said the collision occurred at about 4.27am, Free Malaysia Today reported..
The two motorcyclists were crossing the junction on a green light when they were struck by a Honda City.
The 19-year-old rider sustained fractures to his left arm and leg. Both victims were rushed to Kuala Lumpur Hospital for treatment.
The 25-year-old driver of the car sustained minor hand injuries, while a passenger in the vehicle suffered head injuries.
