KUALA LUMPUR, Sept. 25 -- A policeman suffered multiple facial fractures after he was allegedly attacked by two men while responding to a complaint about loud music in Raub, Pahang, Berita Harian reported.

Corporal Nik Mohd Farid Nik Pa sustained fractures to his left cheekbone and the area below his left eye, as well as a broken nose, bruising and bleeding around the eye.

He also suffered soft-tissue injuries to his right knee and is undergoing further examinations to determine whether his right ankle was fractured.

Acting Pahang police chief Datuk Azry Akmar Ayob said the incident happened at about 2.45am in Kampung Pamah Kulat, Dong, after residents reported two men disturbing the peace by playing loud music by the roadside.
