KUALA LUMPUR, Sept. 26 -- Rapid KL has begun installing platform safety barriers at stations on the Kelana Jaya and Ampang/Sri Petaling LRT lines, starting with Putra Heights, where work is now 85 per cent complete.

In a statement today, Rapid KL said the project is part of efforts to strengthen passenger safety and improve the travel experience across its rail network.

Installation began on August 1, with Putra Heights selected as the first station for the project.

Rapid KL said the station would serve as a reference point for the phased rollout of the barriers to other stations once installation and operational aspects have been tested and refined.
