KUALA LUMPUR, Sept. 19 -- Datuk Seri Najib Razak's move from prison to house arrest has yet to get the formal green light from the Malaysian Prisons Department, which says it is still waiting for official written notification of the conditional pardon granted to the former prime minister.

The Federal Territories Pardons Board granted Najib a conditional pardon on Friday, allowing him to serve the remainder of his SRC International sentence under house arrest until August 23, 2028, subject to conditions including payment of a RM50 million fine.
