MIRI, Aug. 22 -- A quiet early morning at a Tudan mini-market turned violent when three men allegedly broke into the premises, attacked an employee and fled with cash and other items.

The woman was working at the shop at about 5.30am on August 21 when the men forced their way in and assaulted her, Harian Metro reported today.

"The victim suffered injuries to her hand and shoulder before receiving treatment at Miri Hospital," Miri district police chief Assistant Commissioner Mohd Farhan Lee Abdullah was quoted as saying.

The robbers then made off with cash and several belongings belonging to the worker and the premises.
