KUALA LUMPUR, June 15 -- Police have uncovered a gambling syndicate operating a mini casino and online gambling activities from a luxury residential unit in Bukit Jalil following a raid on Saturday.

Cheras deputy police chief Supt Lim Chun How said the district police headquarters' Anti-Vice, Gambling and Secret Societies Division (D7) busted the operation during Op Noda/Dadu, reported Harian Metro.

A total of 15 people aged between 21 and 44 were arrested.

They comprised 12 local men, two local women and a Vietnamese woman.

Police also seized various gambling equipment, including a Texas Hold'em casino table, hundreds of gambling chips, playing cards, RM4,904 in cash, laptops and a karaoke audio system.
