PAS shuts door on Bersatu reconciliation, excludes Perikatan ally from muktamar
KUALA LUMPUR, Aug. 29 -- PAS has declared that the door to reconciliation with Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia within Perikatan Nasional (PN) has closed.
The rupture follows PAS' accusation that its coalition partner contested against PN and signalled a willingness to work with Pakatan Harapan (PH).
PAS president Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang said the breakdown was also why Bersatu had not been invited to the Islamist party's 72nd muktamar in Pengkalan Chepa, Kelantan, from September 2 to 5.
