PUTRAJAYA, May 12 -- Outgoing Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) chief commissioner Tan Sri Azam Baki has officially ruled out a career in politics or the private sector, vowing instead to dedicate his retirement to lifelong public service.

Speaking to reporters after his retirement ceremony today, Azam addressed long-standing speculation regarding his post-retirement plans, insisting he has no intention of transitioning into a businessman or a politician, despite being frequently asked about such prospects.

"I did not receive any offers from outside. It is far from my intention to become a politician or a businessman, as some have asked me before," he clarified.
