SEOUL, July 15 -- The creative minds behind some of K-pop's biggest performances are trading the studio for the stage, with choreographers linked to BTS and Blackpink set to compete in an international dance showdown here next month.

The International Dance League (IDL) Seoul series will bring together six dance crews from around the world at Kyung Hee University's Grand Peace Hall on August 1.

Among those taking part is South Korea's 1Million, co-founded by Lia Kim, whose choreography credits include Blackpink and Twice.

Canada's Brotherhood will also join the competition, featuring Scott Forsyth, who has worked with BTS and Stray Kids.
