KUALA LUMPUR, Oct. 17 -- Bersama leader Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad has confirmed that he is one of the two individuals involved in an incident with the Selangor Islamic Religious Department (Jais) in Petaling Jaya on Thursday.

In a statement addressing the incident, Nik Nazmi admitted his fault and confirmed that he was the man caught with a woman, who is not his muhrim (a legally permissible close relative), in an enclosed space.

The statement was issued publicly by Nik Nazmi in response to reports regarding the Jais operation.
