Mum removes son from Rompin school, alleges seniors blindfolded and beat him for over an hour, police confirm another alleged victim
KUANTAN, Sept. 20 -- A mother has removed her 14-year-old son from a religious secondary school in Rompin after he was allegedly assaulted by senior students at a hostel last week, Harian Metro reported.
The 40-year-old entrepreneur said she was also upset that school authorities allegedly failed to take action despite being informed about the incident, prompting her to lodge a police report and arrange to transfer her son to another school.
"I decided to go straight to the school and when I arrived at the hostel, I was shocked to see my son's body and hands covered in bruises. The senior students allegedly involved in the incident were free to move around," she told reporters at her home in Bukit Rangin here yesterday.
