KUALA LUMPUR, Aug. 10 -- Even for a power couple like Malaysian model Lisa Ch'ng and Hong Kong actor Mat Yeung, the road to "I do" wasn't without its hiccups.

Appearing on a recent YouTube show, the newlyweds, who tied the knot in Kuala Lumpur on Aug 2, confessed that their marriage proposal didn't exactly go according to script.

After a decade of dating, Yeung, 45, had envisioned a grand surprise for Ch'ng, 39. However, his stealth mission failed early when his attempts to discreetly source her ring size from mutual friends inadvertently tipped her off.

The secret quickly unravelled as excited friends and relatives began dropping hints, leaving the Hong Kong-based model with little doubt that a ring was imminent.
