KUALA LUMPUR, May 19 -- A local man suspected of being involved in an armed robbery and theft of a Toyota Fortuner at Bulatan Time Square, Jalan Cina, in Miri, Sarawak, was arrested in less than 24 hours.

In the 9.15am incident on Sunday, a woman and her child were inside a vehicle waiting when they were approached by two unknown men, according to a report published in Berita Harian.

The suspects then acted aggressively, with one of them allegedly holding a knife to the child's neck while the other threatened the woman with a similar weapon.

Both suspects then drove off with the vehicle before abandoning the victims at the Miri Park area.
