KUALA LUMPUR, Oct. 2 -- The Ministry of Transport has confirmed that digital services company Zetrix AI Bhd owes the federal government over RM200 million in unremitted public collections.

A ministry spokesman confirmed the substantial arrears to The Edge, following a report by The Straits Times revealing that the e-government concessionaire had failed to transfer money collected for vehicle road tax, driving licence renewals, and traffic summonses to the Road Transport Department (JPJ).

Earlier, the Singapore daily reported, citing official government documents, that Zetrix AI had withheld the collections from the very inception of its three-year service contract in May 2023.
