Kuala Lampur, Oct. 23 -- KOTA BHARU, Oct 23 - Perikatan Nasional (PN) is still negotiating to finalise seat allocations for the Melaka state election, with the coalition seeking one or two more seats on top of the seven discussed with Umno so far.

PN deputy chairman Datuk Seri Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man said talks were ongoing, and a final decision, including on any additional seats, was expected soon.

He said the discussions were now at the main committee level and would be finalised at a meeting expected within the next day or two.

"So far it is not final. Although the seven seats mentioned by Umno president Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi are seats not won by Barisan Nasional (BN), we are still negotiating for one or two more seats.
