LOS ANGELES, Aug. 15 -- Marvel Studios has officially unveiled the first wave of casting for its long-awaited X-Men reboot, confirming a lineup that blends rising stars with established names as the mutant franchise prepares to enter the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Announced at this year's D23 Expo, the film - directed by Thunderbolts filmmaker Jake Schreier - will follow Avengers: Secret Wars in 2027 and mark the MCU's first full-scale introduction of the X-Men.
