SINGAPORE, May 29 -- A row over a parking space in Singapore turned violent when a man pushed an 80-year-old grandmother to the ground - leaving her with a fractured spine and him with a S$4,000 (RM12,500) fine.

Deng Yiwei, 42, pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct yesterday, with a judge also considering a charge of criminal violence, Shin Min Daily News reported.

The incident happened around 1:50pm on August 6, 2025, outside Block 632A along Punggol Drive. Both men were on their way to fetch their children from a nearby primary school.
