Man accused of killing 73-year-old at Singapore void deck remanded for psychiatric assessment
SINGAPORE, Oct. 7 -- A 32-year-old Singaporean man who allegedly killed a 73-year-old man and injured another at a Telok Blangah void deck before calling police to surrender has been charged with murder.
Gabriel Foong Shi Cheng was charged today with causing the death of Tham Nam Poh at about 6pm on Monday at the void deck of Block 57, Telok Blangah Heights, Singapore-based media organisation CNA reported.
Details of how the alleged killing took place were not disclosed at this stage of proceedings.
Foong appeared in court via video-link from his place of remand, wearing a white polo shirt and handcuffs.
