PUTRAJAYA, Oct. 13 -- The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has stepped into the controversy surrounding My EG Sdn Bhd (MyEG) and Zetrix AI Berhad, joining an active police investigation following an official complaint over RM314 million in unremitted government revenue.

In a statement today, the anti-graft agency confirmed that the formal report was lodged on Oct 7, noting that the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) are already investigating the matter under penal laws.

"Accordingly, MACC will cooperate closely with PDRM to examine and carry out information sharing in investigating this matter, based on offences under the jurisdiction of the police," the commission said.
