KUALA LUMPUR, June 15 -- The rumours are over: local M-pop powerhouse Alpha is officially set to headline their first-ever solo concert this September.

The surprise announcement came directly from Mathan Rajasingam, head of Rocketfuel Entertainment, during the group's debut album launch and fan-meet at Pavilion Damansara Heights yesterday evening.

The venue erupted in cheers as the seven members, visibly stunned by the news, shared the moment with their dedicated fanbase.

Alpha exploded onto the scene last year with viral hits like Mona Lisa (Bang Bang) and P. Ramlee Saloma. The group features a diverse lineup of Daniel Sher, Izat Ibrahim, Rizal Rasid, Ariel Fesol, Araff, Ray-D, and Afiq Sky.
