KUALA LUMPUR, July 7 -- Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB) is ramping up its Electric Train Service (ETS) capacity this weekend to accommodate a surge of passengers heading south for the Johor state election this Saturday.

Following a total sell-out of an earlier batch of tickets on June 19, KTMB is deploying eight additional services across two key routes: KL Sentral-JB Sentral-KL Sentral and JB Sentral-Gemas-JB Sentral.

For those planning their trip, ticket sales for the JB Sentral-Gemas-JB Sentral route opened today at 3:00 pm. Tickets for the KL Sentral-JB Sentral-KL Sentral route will go on sale Wednesday at 9:00 am.
