JD Sports marks 10 years in Malaysia as country becomes its Southeast Asia hub
KUALA LUMPUR, July 22 -- Sports fashion retailer JD Sports is marking its 10th anniversary in Malaysia with plans to expand its retail footprint and strengthen the country's role as the company's Southeast Asia hub.
The retailer, which opened its first Malaysian flagship store at Sunway Pyramid in 2016, now operates 23 outlets nationwide and plans to open three more stores by the end of the year.
Following its growth in Malaysia, JD Sports said the country now serves as its Southeast Asia hub, overseeing operations in Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia and the Philippines.
To commemorate the milestone, the retailer will launch a year-long anniversary campaign featuring exclusive product releases, consumer rewards and omnichannel promotions...
