KUALA LUMPUR, April 3 -- Malaysia Vision Valley (MVV) was first introduced in 2015 as part of the government's broader strategy to expand development beyond the Klang Valley and drive regional economic growth.

The project was unveiled under the 11th Malaysia Plan (11MP) by former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak, who described it as a major integrated development aimed at complementing existing growth in Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya.

In his MP11 speech in the Dewan Rakyat, Najib said the project would span approximately 108,000 hectares and be developed through multiple strategic clusters, positioning it as one of the country's largest planned economic zones.
