KUALA LUMPUR, May 29 -- Hong Kong screen icon Maggie Cheung has settled into a slower, more private lifestyle in France after stepping away from acting in 2004.

According to The Star, the 61-year-old actress now lives in Bordeaux, where she leads a modest countryside routine and occasionally shares moments from her daily life on Chinese social media platform Xiaohongshu.

In her latest video post, Cheung showed herself preparing homemade jam using freshly picked figs, while reflecting on her preference for a simpler way of living away from the entertainment industry.
