TEMERLOH, Aug. 15 -- A routine wait for his wife's arrival turned into a frantic search for answers after Saifulnizam Sulaiman realised she had not responded to his messages or calls for hours.

Saifulnizam, 39, was in Seremban for work while his wife, Nur Fatima Syuhada Abdullah, 39, and their 12-year-old son, Muhammad Fattah Aisy Naufal Saifulnizam, were travelling from Jerantut to join him during the school holidays.

"I sent her a message at about 5pm, but there was no reply, and after finishing work at about 7pm, I saw that the message was still unread and my calls were also unanswered," he told Berita Harian when met at the forensic unit of Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Hospital here today.

He said his wife would normally keep him updated...
