GetGo rolls out Malaysia road trips for Singapore car-sharing users
SINGAPORE, Sept. 1 -- Singapore's largest car-sharing platform GetGo has launched a new service allowing users to drive its vehicles across Peninsular Malaysia, including to Kuala Lumpur and Cameron Highlands.
Mothership reported that the new "Drive to Malaysia" feature allows users to book eligible GetGo vehicles through its app, with the vehicles registered with Malaysia's Vehicle Entry Permit (VEP) system.
The service allows users to drive anywhere in West Malaysia, with crossings permitted through the Woodlands Causeway or Tuas Second Link.
GetGo said the service offers a more predictable way to manage the cost of driving to Malaysia, with no deposit, rental-store visit or mileage charges regardless of the distance travelled.
