LOS ANGELES, Oct. 2 -- French actor Olivier Martinez, known for films including Unfaithful and S.W.A.T., has been granted a temporary restraining order against Oscar-winning actress Halle Berry after accusing her of physically abusing their 12-year-old son.

A Los Angeles County judge granted Martinez's request on October 1, temporarily restricting Berry's visitation with their son Maceo ahead of a hearing on October 16, entertainment news outlet People reported today.

Martinez, 60, had sought sole custody of Maceo, alleging that Berry physically abused the boy during an incident on September 26.
