KUALA LUMPUR, April 1 -- Communications Minister Datuk Fahmi Fadzil said the Cabinet has approved the creation of a Communications Command Centre under the National Economic Action Council to coordinate government messaging on the global energy crisis and the conflict in West Asia.

He explained that daily briefings or press conferences will be held around 4pm, and the committee will initially meet every day to ensure government communications are fully coordinated.

"The committee will be chaired by Deputy Prime Minister II Datuk Seri Ahmad Fadhilah Yusuf, and will meet regularly to coordinate government communications, particularly regarding responses and measures taken by the government and relevant agencies on the global energy crisis...
