PUTRAJAYA, Aug. 24 -- The government has cast the Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI) findings on Tabung Haji's management between 2014 and 2020 as part of a wider push to tighten governance, strengthen accountability and restore public confidence in national institutions.

Economy Minister Akmal Nasrullah Mohd Nasir said the government respects the investigation process and any action must be taken in accordance with the law and by the relevant authorities.

From an economic perspective, he noted, Tabung Haji's governance is crucial given its scale and role.
