PETALING JAYA, June 1 -- A driver escaped unhurt after his vehicle struck a metal shaft before crashing into a lorry at Km54.1 of the West Coast Expressway (WCE) towards Ijok, Kuala Selangor.

As reported by Berita Harian (BH), Kuala Selangor district police chief Superintendent Azaharudin Tajudin said the incident was reported at 5.44pm on Saturday, with investigations showing it occurred at about 2.30pm when the driver was travelling from Kuala Lumpur to Tanjong Karang.

"The impact caused the car to lose control and hit a lorry parked on the left emergency lane," he said, adding that both drivers were unharmed.

The case is being investigated under Rule 94 of the Road Traffic Rules 1959, with further inquiries ongoing.
