Driver charged after SPE flyover crash kills motorcyclist who fell 30m, SUV hits sheltering bikes
KUALA LUMPUR, June 29 -- A 21-year-old driver has been charged in connection with a crash on the Setiawangsa-Pantai Expressway (SPE) that led to the death of a motorcyclist who fell 30 metres from a flyover.
The charge was mentioned at the magistrates' court on Friday, according to the New Straits Times, which reported that the accused - a woman - was released on RM1,500 bail with one surety.
Her driving licence has been suspended pending the disposal of the case, Kuala Lumpur Traffic Enforcement and Investigation Department chief Assistant Commissioner Mohd Zamzuri Mohd Isa said in a statement.
The court fixed September 10 for document submission.
