Disgraced K-pop-era rapper Go Young-wook looks for a second act in Japan's adult film scene
SEOUL, July 15 -- Former Roo'ra member Go Young-wook has raised eyebrows after suggesting he could turn to Japan's adult film industry following years of struggling to find work in South Korea.
The disgraced former rapper floated the idea on X, saying he had heard Japan was facing a shortage of male adult film actors and wondered if he could legally enter the industry, news outlet Korea JoongAng Daily reported.
"Since it seems difficult to find a job in Korea, I think I saw somewhere that Japan is short of male porn actors. If it's legally possible..." he wrote last Sunday.
He later clarified his comment in a reply, adding: "If the law allows it."
Go, who was part of the popular hip-hop group Roo'ra in the 1990s, was convicted in 2013...
