KUALA LUMPUR, Aug. 31 -- An 18-year-old college student died after falling from the 22nd floor of a condominium in Setapak here this morning.

Free Malaysia Today reported that Wangsa Maju police chief Annas Sulaiman said police were alerted at about 8.50am after a security guard found the student's body at Residensi Teratai on Jalan Langkawi.

The victim, a first-semester student at Universiti Geomatika Malaysia, had returned to the university-provided condominium unit at about 7.07am, according to CCTV footage reviewed by police.

Annas said the footage showed the student subsequently falling from a corridor on the 22nd floor to the sixth floor.
