LOS ANGELES, Sept. 20 -- Presley Gerber, the son of model Cindy Crawford and businessman Rande Gerber, died on Sunday at the age of 27, according to records from the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner.

People magazine reported that Gerber died at a rehabilitation facility, citing medical examiner records, while TMZ was the first to report his death.

A representative for Crawford, Rande and Presley's sister, model and actress Kaia Gerber, told People: "The family is asking for privacy during this very difficult and painful time."

An autopsy had not been completed, TMZ reported.
