Chow Kit crackdown: DBKL issues 22 compounds, seizes goods in joint raid
KUALA LUMPUR, May 17 -- City Hall (DBKL) intensified its enforcement efforts in the city centre on Friday, targeting unlicensed business activities and hygiene violations along Jalan Haji Hussien in Chow Kit.
The "Integrated Business Activity Enforcement Operation," conducted alongside the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) and the Immigration Department of Malaysia (JIM), focused on a variety of businesses, including restaurants, grocery stores, and roadside stalls, many of which were found to be operated by foreign nationals.
During the operation, DBKL enforcement officers issued 17 compound notices for various administrative offences.
