KUALA LUMPUR, Sept. 27 -- Barisan Nasional (BN) will discuss this week a proposal for PAS to contest under the coalition's logo in the upcoming Melaka state election.

BN chairman Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said the matter would be decided after consultations with Chief Minister Datuk Seri Ab Rauf Yusoh and other parties, Harian Metro (HM) reported.

"This week we will hold discussions with several groups, including coalition partners, on which parties will contest. We respect whatever decision they make on the logo or symbol to be used. That is up to them," he told reporters after officiating the 18th annual general assembly of Parti Makkal Sakti Malaysia at the World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur today.
