GERIK, Aug. 10 -- Melaka Barisan Nasional (BN) has been given the green light to hold discussions with any political coalition ahead of the upcoming Melaka state election.

As reported by Harian Metro (HM), BN chairman Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said he had empowered Melaka Chief Minister Datuk Seri Ab Rauf Yusoh to lead the talks in search of common ground to ensure stable governance in the state.

"I hope the talks, which are usually complicated when it comes to seat allocations, can be handled amicably. There is no issue that cannot be resolved," Zahid was quoted as saying.
