KUALA LUMPUR, June 2 -- Parti Bersama Malaysia (Bersama) has confirmed it will contest the Johor state election in 2026, marking its first electoral outing since being revived on May 17.

In a statement, the group said the decision was finalised after discussions involving its leadership and selected members nationwide, with further talks scheduled with Johor representatives to identify constituencies it will contest.

Bersama said the Johor polls would serve as a platform to introduce the movement to voters despite being less than a month old since its relaunch, while also allowing it to build and test its election machinery ahead of future contests.
