PETALING JAYA, Aug. 17 -- A new chapter has begun in the storied Mahathir family, as Ally Mukhriz - daughter of Parti Pejuang Tanah Air president Datuk Seri Mukhriz Mahathir - has given birth to her first child, a baby boy named Eden Zakaria Ezran Cheah.

Born on Sunday morning at 8.48am, weighing 2.9kg, Eden is not only Ally and her husband Ezran Daud Cheah's first child, but also the very first great grandchild of former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad and his wife Tun Dr Siti Hasmah Mohd Ali.
