Kuala Lampur, May 20 -- SEREMBAN, May 21 - A seven-month-old baby boy died while sleeping in a cradle at a caretaker's home in Bandar Sri Sendayan here on Tuesday, according to Sinar Harian.

Seremban police chief Assistant Commissioner Azahar Abdul Rahim said police received a report on the incident at 10pm.

He said the complainant informed police that they had received a call from the child's caretaker saying the baby was unresponsive.

"The victim was then taken to a private clinic near Bandar Sri Sendayan and subsequently transferred to Hospital Tuanku Jaafar (HTJ) here by ambulance," he said in a statement on Wednesday.

He said the doctor on duty attempted cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) before the baby was pronounced dead.
