PUTRAJAYA, May 12 -- Outgoing Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) chief commissioner Tan Sri Azam Baki has issued a stern reminder to his officers to extend their full, unwavering support to his successor, Datuk Seri Abdul Halim Aman.
Speaking at his retirement ceremony today, Azam warned that any form of non-cooperation or internal resistance would be viewed as an act of sabotage against the commission itself.
He said that the integrity of the MACC hinges on the discipline of its officers during leadership transitions.
"There must be no sabotage of the new chief commissioner's leadership. Full cooperation must be given to the incoming leadership," Azam said during his farewell address.
