Plantation Drive Organised at AMU Women's College
India, May 24 -- A plantation drive was organised at Women's College, Aligarh Muslim University, as part of the observance of World Environment Day 2026 under the Government of India's Mission LiFE campaign.
The initiative was organised by the National Service Scheme (NSS), AMU, to promote environmental conservation and encourage community participation in protecting nature.
Principal of Women's College, Prof. Masud Anwar Alavi, along with NSS Programme Officers Dr. Mansoor Alam Siddiqui, Dr. Fauzia Faridi and Dr. Nida Khan, planted saplings on the college campus.
Students and staff members actively participated in the drive, during which guidance regarding plantation techniques and post-plantation care was also provided.
