India, April 14 -- The National Institute of Technology (NIT) Rourkela has earned national recognition at the Annual Quantum Conclave 2026 for its growing initiatives in quantum education. The honour was conferred by the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India, following the recommendation of a technical committee of DST that reviewed the proposal and curriculum of the Minor Degree in Quantum Technology offered by NIT Rourkela and extended its support for establishing an undergraduate quantum technology laboratory under the National Quantum Mission (NQM).
