Kasaragod, Aug. 15 -- Kasaragod: The Central University of Kerala (CUK) celebrated the 80th Independence Day with patriotic fervour at its Periye Campus on Saturday. Vice Chancellor Prof. Siddu P. Algur hoisted the National Flag at Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Bhawan and delivered the Independence Day address.
In his address, Prof. Algur said that a nation is measured not only by the freedom it has secured, but also by the future it creates through knowledge, innovation, compassion and service. Recalling the sacrifices of the freedom fighters, he urged everyone to renew their commitment to the progress and well-being of the nation.
