ALIGARH, Sept. 2 -- ALIGARH : Begum Sultan Jahan Hall, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), organised a plantation drive under the 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam' campaign in collaboration with the Forest Department, Aligarh, and the Department of Land and Gardens, AMU. As part of the initiative, a sapling was dedicated to Sarvari Amma, MTS, who is retiring at the end of this month, under the theme 'Ek Ped Sarvari Amma Ke Naam'.
The programme was held under the guidance of Prof. Fatima Khan, Provost, Begum Sultan Jahan Hall. Dr. Afshan Naaz, Warden, welcomed the guests and highlighted the Hall's 'Adoption of a Plant' initiative, through which students were encouraged to take responsibility for nurturing the saplings.
