ALIGARH, Sept. 4 -- ALIGARH : Prof. Tariq Mahmood Usmani, Department of Geography, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), has been appointed Chairman of the Department of Geography, for a period of three years with effect from the date he assumes charge.
He has been serving as Professor in the Department of Geography since September 2016 and has been teaching undergraduate and postgraduate classes since 2000.His research interests encompass socio-economic development, regional disparities, agricultural development, urbanisation, land-use and land-cover dynamics, and the application of remote sensing and geospatial technologies.
