PATNA, June 7 -- Veteran journalist and former Deputy Resident Editor (DRE) of the Hindustan Times, Patna, Rai Atul Krishna passed away following a cardiac arrest on Friday afternoon after a brief illness. He was 66. He was cremated at the Khajekalan ghat in Patna on Saturday in presence of family, friends, colleagues and admirers from media fraternity. Krishna is survived by his wife Sunita Jain, a retired banker; daughters Aparna Krishna, a lawyer based in Noida, and Dr Arpita Krishna, an ENT specialist in Pune; and son Dr Rai Ananmay Krishna, who is pursuing postgraduation in medicine at DY Patil Medical College, Pune. A seasoned journalist with over three decades of experience, Krishna joined the HT in February 1987 as a Staff Reporter and went on to serve the organisation in various capacities before superannuating as DRE on November 30, 2017....
