PATNA, June 22 -- In view of the heat wave like conditions prevailing in the state capital, the academic activities of all government and private schools ( including pre-schools) of the district up to class 8 have been prohibited from June 22nd to June 27, as per the orders of Patna district magistrate Kundan Kumar. In the order issued on Sunday, it has been said that the prevalent high temperature in the district, puts at risk the health and life of children. Kumar has directed all school authorities to reschedule their timings of academic activities in conformity. The hot and humid conditions with rise in temperature was witnessed in large parts of the state for last few days with Bihar Mausam Sewa Kendra stating high temperature and severe discomfort in many districts including Patna, Gaya, Lakhisarai, Aurangabad, Buxar, Arwal, Rohtas will prevail with maximum temperature in the range of 39-42degC.
